The salt spray test standard specifies the salt spray test conditions, such as temperature, humidity, sodium chloride solution concentration and pH value, and also puts forward technical requirements for the performance of the salt spray test chamber. Salt spray test rating method:
1. The rating judgment method divides the percentage of the ratio of corrosion area to total area into several levels according to a certain method, and takes a certain level as the basis for qualification judgment, which is suitable for the evaluation of flat plate samples.
2. The weighing judgment method evaluates the corrosion resistance quality of samples by calculating the weight (or weight gain) of corrosion loss through the weight change of samples before and after corrosion test. It is suitable for evaluating the corrosion resistance quality of a certain metal.
3. The method of determining the presence of corrosive substances is a qualitative method, which judges the samples based on whether the products have corrosion after the salt spray corrosion test. This method is mostly adopted.
4. The statistical analysis method of corrosion data is mainly used to analyze and count corrosion conditions, rather than specifically used for the quality judgment of a specific product.
The artificial simulated salt spray environment test is to use a test equipment “salt spray test chamber” with a certain volume space to assess the quality of the product’s salt spray corrosion resistance performance by artificial methods in its volume space. The salt concentration of chloride in the artificial salt spray environment is several times or several times higher than that in the natural environment. This greatly improves the corrosion degree and shortens the time to get the results of the salt spray corrosion test of products.

1. Neutral salt spray test (NSS test) is an accelerated corrosion test method that appeared first and is widely used in the field. A solution for spray was prepared by using a 5% sodium chloride saline solution and adjusting the pH value to neutral (6-7). The test temperature is 35 ℃, and the sedimentation rate of salt spray is required to be 1-2ml / 80cm 2. H.
2. Acetate spray test (ASS test) is developed from neutral salt spray test. By adding some glacial acetic acid to the 5% sodium chloride solution, the pH value of the solution is reduced to about 3 to become acidic, and the salt mist formed is also changed from neutral to acidic. The corrosion rate of acetate mist is about 3 times faster than that of neutral.
3. Copper salt accelerated acetate spray test (CASS test) is a rapid salt spray corrosion test developed recently from abroad. The test temperature needs to be 50 ℃, and a small amount of copper salt copper chloride is added to the salt solution to strongly induce corrosion. Its corrosion rate is about 8 times that of neutral test.
4. Alternating salt spray test is also called comprehensive salt spray test, which is composed of neutral salt spray test and constant wet heat test. It is mainly used for cavity type complete machine products. Through the penetration of the wet environment, salt spray corrosion occurs not only on the product surface but also inside the product. The alternating salt spray test alternates the products under salt spray and wet and hot environmental conditions, and finally evaluates whether the electrical performance and mechanical energy of the whole product have changed.
