DOW61000-18 series Damped Oscillatory Wave Immunity Tester is used to release energy into an RLC resonant circuit after pre-charging a capacitor. Under resistive dissipation, this generates a sinusoidal envelope oscillation waveform with amplitude decreasing periodically, accurately reproducing typical transient interference scenarios in power systems, such as switching operations and high-altitude electromagnetic pulses (HEMPs). The DOW61000-18 series damped oscillation wave generator boasts advantages such as precise and controllable waveform and stable and reliable output. Through a dedicated coupling/decoupling network (CDN), the damped oscillation wave is injected into the power port (with built-in CDN), signal and control ports (optional) of the device under test (EUT) via conductive coupling, enabling comprehensive testing of the device’s immunity to transient interference.
DOW61000-18 fully meets the requirements of the latest standards IEC/EN 61000-4-18 Clause 4.2 and GB/T 17626.18 Clause 4.1 for slow-damped oscillating waves. The DOW61000-18 slow-damped oscillating wave generator is used to simulate low-frequency transient interference generated by disconnecting switch operation and bus reflection. It is suitable for testing products such as substation primary equipment and power transformers to evaluate their working stability under low-frequency interference.
DOW61000-18F fully meets the requirements of the latest standards IEC/EN 61000-4-18 Clause 4.3 and GB/T 17626.18 Clause 4.2 for fast damped oscillating waves. The DOW61000-18F fast damped oscillating wave generator is used to simulate high-frequency transient interference generated by rapid operation of circuit breakers and high-altitude electromagnetic pulses (HEMP). It is suitable for secondary equipment in medium and high voltage substations, combiner cabinets in new energy power plants, etc., to verify its high-frequency immunity and ensure stable operation in strong electromagnetic pulse environments.
