Dust test box is a kind of equipment used for product dust prevention now. Now some products require strict use environment, so dust test box will be used for dust prevention test.
I. Working Requirements of Dust Test Chamber
1. Blowing Dust: Used to study the adaptability of equipment to blowing dust (≤149μm). Test temperature: working or storage high temperature obtained from high temperature test (GJB 150.3A); humidity ≤30%.
2. Blowing Sand: Used to study the adaptability of equipment to blowing sand (150μm-850μm). Test temperature: working or storage high temperature obtained from high temperature test (GJB 150.3A); humidity ≤30%.
3. Dust Reduction: Used to study the effect of dust reduction (≤105μm) on equipment (usually electrical equipment) in areas where air flow is almost absent and dust can accumulate for a long time (such as offices, laboratories, storage rooms and tents). Dust Reduction also affects the heat dissipation of equipment with dust accumulation on the top surface. Dust reduction test is also used to test the quality of air filters at the entrance of outdoor air pollution samplers. The test temperature is 23℃±2℃, with a humidity of ≤30%.
II. Temperature Indicators of Dust Test Chamber
1. Temperature Uniformity: It is the difference between the average values of any two points in the working space after the temperature is stable at any time interval. This indicator is more able to assess the core technology of the industry than the following temperature deviation indicator, so many companies deliberately hide this item in the instruction and technical scheme of the dustproof test chamber.
2. Temperature Deviation: After the temperature is stable at any time interval, the difference between the average temperature in the center of the working space of the equipment and the average temperature in other points of the working space. Although the definitions and names of this indicator are the same in both old and new standards, the testing has changed, and the new standard is more practical and tougher, but the assessment time is shorter.
3. Temperature Change Rate of Dust Test Chamber: This is an indicator for assessing the configured capacity of the industry, and the forms given by the manufacturers are also varied, including temperature change rate, temperature change time, heating and cooling capacity, etc., and the temperature change interval is not unified.
4. Temperature Range: It refers to the limit temperature that the industrial studio can bear and/or achieve. It usually contains the concept of controllable constant, and the equipment should be able to operate stably for a relatively long time at extreme values. The temperature range usually includes extreme high temperature and extreme low temperature.
5. Temperature Fluctuation Degree This indicator is also called temperature stabilization degree. After controlling the temperature stabilization, within any given time interval, the difference between the high and low temperatures of any point in the working space of the dust test chamber. Here’s a small difference: “working space” is not “working studio”, it’s about a space with a length of 1/10 of the side length from the wall of the box. This indicator assesses the control technology of the industry.
III. Daily Maintenance of Dust Test Chamber
1. Avoid dust entering the box body, cover the plastic cover after use;
2. The transmission mechanism must be oiled regularly, and the reducer must be added with clean gear oil;
3. Dust test chamber is exposed to the environment for a long time, and the surface will accumulate dust. In order to ensure that the equipment does not affect the indoor beauty and cleanliness, and slow down the aging of the equipment, please clean the surface of the equipment once a week. Do not use corrosive cleaners when cleaning products;
4. Dust accumulation in equipment control cabinet can cause faults. Dust removal should be done at least every six months. Method: turn off the main power switch, open the distribution room cover, use a vacuum cleaner (or soft brush) to clean the dust of the electrical appliance part, cover the distribution room cover and tighten the screws;
5. When the machine is not running for a long time, the programs in the computer may not run, please open the machine once every six months for backup, the power on time is 8 hours;
6. When moving dust test chamber, avoid falling, hitting, scratching, twisting, excessive vibration and squeezing;
7. Do not place heavy objects on the equipment, and avoid tilting the equipment;
8. Do not contact with chemicals;
9. Keep the laboratory in dry environment.
IV. Precautions For Using Dust Test Chamber
1. It is strictly forbidden to use power supply beyond the allowed voltage range and specified frequency. The power supply must be well grounded.
2. Do not use it when the power cord or plug is damaged or the plug cannot be firmly inserted into the socket.
3. Be careful not to damage the power cord.
4. Do not open the box door when no fault or inspection and adjustment is required, and do not put foreign objects in the box.
5. Immediately press the emergency stop switch or cut off the power source when any fault or damage occurs during operation.
6. Do not use hard objects to hit the glass door.
7. Do not use hard objects to scratch the casing of the device, and do not use corrosive liquid to wipe the casing of the device.
8. The selection of talc powder should comply with the requirements of human health and safety. After the test is completed, the workpiece can be taken out only when all the dust has been completely settled.
9. Operators need to wear masks to avoid inhaling dust.
10. Check whether the door is closed before starting.
11. The control panel is touch operated, and only fingertip keys are allowed. Do not click with fingernails or sharp objects, metal products, etc.
V. Procedures For Dust Blowout In Dust Test Chamber
1. According to the technical documents, adjust the temperature of the test section to the standard atmospheric conditions, adjust the air speed to the required value, and adjust the relative humidity of the test section to less than 30%, and maintain this humidity value throughout the test.
2. Adjust the dust control device to reach 10.6g/m3±7g/m3.
3. Keep conditions 1 and 2 for at least 6 hours, unless otherwise specified. If necessary, periodically adjust the direction of the sample so that other vulnerable surfaces are exposed to the dust stream.
4. Stop dust. Reduce the wind speed of the test section to about 1.5m/s, adjust the temperature of the test section to the temperature stipulated in the test or other values determined in the technical documents.
5. After the temperature of the test is stabilized, keep the conditions of 4 for 1 hour.
6. Adjust the wind speed to the speed of 1 to start dusting to maintain the dust concentration in 2.
7. Continue the test for at least 6 hours or according to other regulations. If necessary, run the sample according to the requirements in the technical documents.
8. Return the sample to the standard atmospheric conditions and allow the dust to settle.
9. Clear the accumulated dust on the sample with a brush, wiping or shaking. Operate carefully to avoid introducing other dust or disrupting any dust that may already have entered the sample, do not use the method of blowing or vacuum cleaning to remove the dust, unless the same methods are used in actual use.
10. Check the work according to the technical documents and record the check results.
11. Check the sample to determine whether there is dust penetration, paying special attention to bearings, grease seals, lubrication parts, filters, ventilation and other parts. Record the inspection results.
VI. Requirements Of Wind Speed For Dust Test Chamber
1. For the requirements of wind speed of dust blowing test, because the weight of dust is different, it should be determined according to the actual requirements. There is no rigid index value in this regard, but basically speaking, in order to carry out the dust blowing test normally, the minimum wind speed should be>1.5m/s. If it simulates the sand dust in the desert, because its weight is heavy, the wind speed should be > 8.9m/s or higher, Of course, if there are other sizes, they should also be in accordance with the reference.
2. For the requirements of wind speed of dust removal test, as long as the test pieces in the test box are not covered with dust, the wind speed <0.2m/s can meet this requirement.
3. For the requirements of wind speed of sand blasting test, the basic requirements to meet the wind speed of sand blasting test are 18m/s~29m/s. Attention should be paid to not only the wind speed, but also the distance between the sand injection port and the test piece. If it is too close, it will be blown away, too far , It cannot reach the collision speed of the sand particles required by the test, which is generally 3m. However, if the wind speed is normal and the distance is a little closer, it can also reach the desired collision speed. In this range of wind speed required by the test, high wind speed is relatively rare. Such as 29m / s gust, this kind of wind is rarely used in the test.
