The IPX9K test standard refers to the testing standard for waterproofing performance of equipment under simulated high-pressure water flow environment. What is the IPX9K waterproof level and how can I achieve the IPx9 waterproof level?
According to the new standard GB4208-2017 (replacing GB4208-2008), IPX9 waterproofing testing requires heating the water temperature to around 80 ℃. The requirements for testing vary depending on the size of the casing. For small samples, the IPX9 waterproof test time is 30 seconds per location.
The required speed is 5 ± 1r/min. For large samples, the testing distance (nozzle to sample surface) is 175 ± 25mm. If the distance is too far, the pressure of spraying water onto the sample is not enough. If the distance is too close, the area of spraying water is not enough to fully spray water.
How to achieve IPX9 waterproof level testing?
Because this is a high-temperature and high-pressure waterproof test, the following IPX9K High Temperature Pressure Jet Waterproof Test Chamber needs to be used. This type of chamber contains circulating water inside and has a special heating device. Through the operating system independently developed by LISUN, flow and pressure can be achieved, and the temperature can be strictly controlled at around 80 ℃, ensuring that it can meet the requirements of GB4208-2017.
IPX9K waterproof test method:
The experiment is conducted by spraying water from the shell through a standard test nozzle to measure the impact force of the water jet. Within the tolerance range, the impact force distribution should be verified based on the upper and lower limits. When conducting tests 1 and 2 on the casing, the water temperature should be maintained at 80 ± 5 ℃.
1. For small enclosures (size not exceeding 250mm), the enclosure should be installed on the testing device shown, with a speed of (5 ± 1) r/min, spraying angles of 0 °, 30 °, 60 °, and 90 °, and a testing time of 30 seconds for each position;
2. For small enclosures (sizes greater than or equal to 250mm), the enclosure should be installed as intended. All external surfaces of the shell will be sprayed; Spray direction: Spray from all directions to cover the entire surface of the shell, and the spray angle should be as perpendicular as possible to the spray surface; The distance between the nozzle and the sample under test conditions is (175 ± 25) mm; According to the calculated area of the shell (including any installation surface), the duration of the test is 1min/㎡, 3min.
