IEC 60335-2-16 Flat End Test Rod is designed and manufactured according to the IEC60335-2-16 clause 22.102. It is used to test concealment of the reset button of a protective device.Appliance is checked by applying a rod in any direction to touch the protective device which is in off state. The diameter of rod is 76 mm ±0.1mm and it has a flat end. There shall be a distance of at least 1.5mm between the rod and the button. The protective device shall not be operated with the rod and not automatically reset. Key features include a rigid test rod with a flat end, boasting a precise diameter of 76 mm ±0.1 mm. During testing, the rod is applied in any direction to contact the protective device (in the off state), with a mandatory minimum distance of 1.5 mm maintained between the rod and the reset button.
