This Gauges C 8 of CEE 7 for Wiring Channel of 10/16A 250V Two-pole Socket-outlets designed in strict accordance with IECEE CEE-7 “Specification for plugs and socket-outlets for domestic and similar purpose” C 8 standard, tailored for the wiring channel of 10/16A 250V two-pole socket-outlets. It is engineered to meet the installation and dimensional verification needs of different types of socket-outlets, ensuring compliance with relevant norms during the production, inspection and installation processes.
Specifications:
• Complies with IECEE CEE-7 “Specification for plugs and socket-outlets for domestic and similar purpose” C 8 standard
• Applicable to 10/16A 250V two-pole socket-outlets
• Designed for wiring channel verification of socket-outlets
• Compatible with ordinary surface-type socket-outlets, socket-outlets fixed directly to the bottom of a box, and socket-outlets installed in 40mm deep mounting boxes (complying with Standard Sheet XIII or XV)
• Ensures no protrusion when inserted into the wiring channel of applicable socket-outlets
Test Procedures:
• For ordinary surface-type socket-outlets and socket-outlets fixed directly to the bottom of a box: Insert the gauge into the wiring channel of the socket-outlet and check if the gauge does not protrude therefrom.
• For socket-outlets requiring installation in a mounting box: Prepare a 40mm deep mounting box that complies with Standard Sheet XIII or XV.
• Place the gauge between the base of the socket-outlet and the bottom of the prepared mounting box.
• Fix the base of the socket-outlet in the mounting box and verify the compatibility and compliance of the wiring channel with the gauge.
• Confirm that all installation and dimensional requirements specified in the CEE-7 C 8 standard are met through the above verification steps.
