Waterproof Jet Test Device: IPX5 waterproof and IPX6 waterproof test Standard

What is a Waterproof Jet Test Device?

IPX56 Waterproof Jet Test Device, is an open waterproof test equipment that belongs to the IPX56 standard. It is used to perform a level 5 or level 6 waterproof test on products, mainly including electronic and electrical products, lighting fixtures, electrical cabinets, electrical components, automobiles, motorcycles, and their parts. The equipment can be used in various locations and is equipped with four movable wheels for easy mobility and use.

There are three different models of IPX5 and IPX6 Waterproof Jet Test Device: manual side spray, automatic side spray, and open models.

1. The Waterproof Jet Test Device is suitable for testing products that require a level 5 waterproof rating.
2. The equipment is made of SUS304# stainless steel, which is resistant to rust even after long-term use.
3. It is equipped with a built-in water tank, which is controlled by a water level float valve for automatic water inlet. It also has a feature to monitor and alert when the water level is low to prevent damage to the equipment due to water shortage.
4. The test time can be set from 0 to 99 minutes and the equipment will automatically stop after the test is completed.
5. The water flowan be adjusted manually using a flow meter.

According to the IPX5 waterproof and IPX6 waterproof test standards:

1. IPX5: The product can resist water jets from all directions with a diameter of 6.3mm without affecting its normal operation. This means that the product can function normally when exposed to washing, spraying, or similar conditions.
2. IPX6: The product can resist water jets from all directions with a diameter of 12.5mm without affecting its normal operation. This higher level of waterproofing is suitable for use in more severe environmental conditions, such as in harsh weather.

Common issues and troubleshooting for IPX5 and IPX6 Waterproof Jet Test Device:

1. If there are abnormal noises or other anomalies during equipment startup and it cannot function properly, please check if the voltage and frequency of the power supply match the specifications. Otherwise, it may damage the equipment.

2. If the touch screen displays a phase sequence error when the equipment is turned on, it means that the phase sequence of the three-phase power supply for IPX56 is incorrect. Please turn off the equipment, swap the phase sequence of any two phases of the power supply, and then turn it back on.
3. The rotating platform in the test process may causethe power cord of the sample to tangle. The rotating platform is designed to rotate in the opposite direction every minute. By using the waterproof power cable provided with the equipment and ensuring its length is sufficient, the power cord will not become entangled.
4. If you can hear the sound of the water pump starting and the flow meter is open, but no water is coming out of the nozzle, please stop the water pump, open the exhaust valve of the water pump shown in the diagram until water flows out, and then close the valve. Afterwards, restart the water pump. Note: The latest IPX56 equipment design does not have an exhaust valve. As long as enough water is added to the water tank, the equipment can be used normally.
5. If the equipment does not start the test after clicking the start button, please make sure the program is in its initial state. Click the clear button first, then click the start button again.
6. How to confirm the test results: if the sample shorts and goes out during the test, it does not comply with the standard. If the sample still lights up normally, remove the sample, wipe off any surface water, open the sample, and check if there is water inside. If there is water, it alsodoes not comply with the standard. The specific details may vary depending on the industry, so please refer to the corresponding industry standards.

Considerations for using IPX5 and IPX6 Waterproof Jet Test Device:

Please stop the water pump, thenopen the exhaust valve of the water pump shown in the diagram until there is water flowing out. Close the valve and restart the water pump. 5. If the equipment does not start the test after clicking the start button:
Please ensure that the program is in its initial state. Click the clear button first, and then click the start button again.
