LISUN EMI Test Receiver EMI-9KC/EMI-9KB/EMI-9KA – After-sales Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

EMI receiver system for EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) radiation conduction or conducted emissions testing. The EMI-9KB EMI receiver is produced by the full closure structure and strong electro-conductibility material, which has high shielding effect. Due to the new technology for the EMI Test System, it solved the instrument self-EMI problem. The test results are according to the international format test report. The EMI Test System EMI-9KB fully meets CISPR15:2018, CISPR16-1, GB17743, FCC, EN55015 and EN55022.

System Configurations:
• EMI-9KC Test System includes: EMI-9KC EMI Receiver built-in Attenuator (9K-1GHz), LISN-A Artificial Network Power (16A with RS-232 communicate), CDNE-M316 Coupling/Decoupling Network for Emission, 3pcs Isolation Transformers and cables.
• EMI-9KB Test System includes: EMI-9KB EMI Receiver (9K-300MHz), LISN-A Artificial Network Power (5A), CDNE-M316 Coupling/Decoupling Network for Emission, 3pcs Isolation Transformers, Attenuator and cables.
• EMI-9KA Test System includes: EMI-9KA EMI Receiver (9K-30MHz), LISN-A Artificial Network Power (5A), 3pcs Isolation Transformers, Attenuator and cables.

When used LISUN EMI-9KB or EMI-9KA EMI Receiver Systems, you may have the following questions. LISUN engineer team listed out the standard answers for your reference, which will help you solve the problems by yourself:

Q1: There is error in test data?
A1: EMI test need a standard test environment. Please check our user manual or the standard to build the standard test environment.
Please confirm that whether you are using an attenuator. If yes, please select the attenuator with the correct value on software.

Q2: The communication between the computer and the EMI receiver is not stable?
A2: Please only use LISUN RS232 cable and RS232-USB converter. Don’t use other cables or extension converter cables.

Q3: There is error when you run the software first time?

A3: Click OK and enter the software. Please select the correct COM port manually.

Then next time you will not see that error.

Right click “My computer”>“Properties”>“Device manager” to confirm that which COM port the device uses.

If you change a computer, you may need to do this again.

Q4: Table is blank when print the report?

A4: Need to do “Final Measure” after the test. Then the final measured data will display in that table when you print the report.

Q5: Why need to remove the coaxial cable before turning on or turning off the sample?
A5: There will be impulse to the EMI receiver when you turn on or turn off the sample. To protect the EMI receiver, we remove the coaxial cable first before turning on or turning off the sample.

Q6: The system configuration is different?
A6: There are three products of the EMI-9K series. A B C have different configurations because of that they have different frequency range and test content. Please confirm that which model you need before order.

A7: Please use an administrator account to log in to the computer, install and use the EMI software, otherwise the software may not have sufficient permissions, resulting in abnormalities during use.
