IEC 61032 Small Finger Probe with Standard

THE STANDARD ARTICULATED FINGER – IEC 61032 FIG. 2 is used in the Test in accordance with ABNT safety requirements and test methods. Product testing serves to ensure that the product the end consumer is purchasing is completely safe and does not pose a risk to their health or life if used correctly. These tests are essential for product certification. It is essential to make sure your product is safe. The tests verify whether the product manufacturing steps followed the requirements required by the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards.

The Short Test Pin (Figure 9 – Test probe 13) of IEC 61032 is intended to verify the protection against access to hazardous live parts in class 0 equipment and class II equipment (IEC 60536).

The Long Test Pin (Figure 8 – Test probe 12) of IEC 61032.
This pin is intended to be used on appliances for verifying the inaccessibility of hazardous live parts or hazardous mechanical parts which are liable to be touched accidentally by a tool, for example a screwdriver or similar pointed object in normal use.

Conform to the IEC60335-2-14 clause 20.2. Means of a test probe that is similar to test probe B of IEC 61032 but having a circular stop face with a diameter of 125 mm instead of the non-circular face, the distance between the tip of the test finger and the stop face being 100 mm.

For appliances provided with movable devices such as those intended for varying the tension of belts, the test with the test probe is carried out with these devices adjusted to the most unfavourable position within their range of adjustment. If necessary, belts are removed.

It shall not be possible to touch dangerous moving parts with this test probe.
