Electromagnetic interference (abbreviated as EMI) refers to the interference phenomenon caused by the interaction of electromagnetic waves and electronic components. There are two types of conducted interference and radiated interference. Conducted interference refers to the coupling (interference) of signals on one electrical network to another electrical network through a conductive medium. Radiated interference means that the interference source couples (interferes) its signal to another electrical network through space. In high-speed PCB and system design, high-frequency signal lines, integrated circuit pins, various connectors, etc. may become antennas. The characteristic radiation interference source can emit electromagnetic waves and affect the normal operation of other systems or other subsystems in this system.
For the test of EMI, the International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR) issued the CISPR-16 radio interference and anti-interference measurement instrument specification, and for the lighting industry, the International Special Committee on Radio Interference also proposed CISPR-15 radio interference for electronic lighting and related equipment Characteristic limitations and measurement methods, and various countries have issued various types of EMI lighting test specifications according to their national conditions, such as EN55015-2007 from the European Union and GB17743-1999 from China. For EU countries, the EN55015 standard (citing CISPR-15) is suitable for traditional lighting equipment with a lamp frequency exceeding 100 Hz, such as incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, and self-rectifying energy-saving lamps.
Conducted transmission must have a complete circuit connection between the interference source and the sensor. The interference signal is transmitted to the sensor along this connection circuit, and interference occurs. This transmission circuit may include wires, conductive members of the device, power supply, common impedance, ground plane, resistance, inductance, capacitance and mutual inductance elements.
Radiation transmission is to propagate in the form of electromagnetic waves through the medium, and the interference energy is emitted into the surrounding space according to the laws of the electromagnetic field. There are three common types of radiative coupling:
1. The electromagnetic waves emitted by antenna A are accidentally accepted by antenna B, which is called antenna-to-antenna coupling;
2. The space electromagnetic field is coupled by induction through wires, called field-to-line coupling;
3. Two The induction of high-frequency signals between parallel wires is called line-to-line inductive coupling;
Generally, we also have a certain understanding of EMI conducted interference and radiated interference testing. LISUN’s EMI-9KC/EMI-9KB is a fully automatic EMI receiver test system, which is mainly used for EMI (conducted radiated interference testing) . The EMI-9KC/EMI-9KB receiver uses a fully enclosed structure design, the body uses strong conductive materials, and the shielding effect is excellent. Detection frequency range: 9kHz~30MHz (EMI-9KA) or 9kHz~300MHz (EMI-9KB) or 9kHz~1GHz (EMI-9KC). Due to the use of new technologies and new processes, the EMI receiver has fundamentally solved the problem of its own interference resistance. And EMI-9KC/EMI-9KB system fully complies with CISPRl6-1, GB17743, FCC, EN55015 and EN55022 standards.
