What is ERP certification flicker test SVM and PST LM test

On 5^th , December, 2019, the European Commission officially announced the new ErP Regulation (EU) 2019/2020 and Energy Efficiency Labelling Regulation (EU) 2019/2015 for lighting products, which will replace the current ErP Regulation (EC) No 244/2009, (EC) ) No 245/2009, (EU) No 1194/2012 and Energy Efficiency Labeling Regulation (EU) No 874/2012. The new regulations have been issued for more than a year and will be enforced on 1^st, September, 2021. It is very necessary for lighting product manufacturers exporting to the European Union to make relevant preparations in advance for the requirements of the regulations.

The new version of ERP’s limited data for stroboscopic is: For the new version of ERP, the stroboscopic requirement is originally SVM ≤ 0.4, modified to allow SVM ≤ 0.9 before 1^st , September, 2024. PST value remains unchanged, or PST ≤ 1.0;

The size of the ERP energy efficiency label was originally changed from 36×75 to 36x72mm, and the small label remains unchanged at 20x54mm.

Introduction of ERP Energy Efficiency Directive:
EC 244/2009 Eco-design requirements for non-directional lights:
1. Involving non-directional incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, CFL, LED lamps, etc.;
2. Put forward light efficiency requirements, functional requirements and product information requirements (requirements for LED lights with no function);
3.EC 245/2009 Eco-design requirements for fluorescent lamps, HID lamps and their ballasts and lamps without integrated ballasts;
4.Involving single-ended, double-ended fluorescent lamps, HID lamps and their ballasts and lamps;
5.Put forward light efficiency requirements, functional requirements and product information requirements.

Test items involved in ERP certification:
1. The damage rate of 3600 hours is greater than or equal to 0.9, (the test time is longer, this requirement will be implemented from 1^st, September, 2021);
2. 3600 hours luminous flux maintenance rate is greater than or equal to 0.8 (the test time is longer, this requirement will be implemented from 1^st , September, 2021);
3. The number of switching times before failure is greater than or equal to 15,000 (rated life is 30,000 hours) or greater than or equal to one-half of the rated life in hours;
4. Start-up time is less than 0.5 seconds;
5. The time required to reach 95% luminous flux is less than 2 seconds;
6. The early failure rate is less than or equal to 5.0% (1000 hours of normal lighting);
7. The color rendering index is greater than or equal to 80%, and the color rendering index for outdoor or industrial use is greater than or equal to 65%;
8. Color tolerance is less than or equal to 6db;
9. Power factor requirements:
Power is less than or equal to 2W, no power factor requirements;
2W to 5W, the PF value is required to be greater than 0.4;
5W to 25W, PF value is greater than 0.5;
The power is greater than 25W, and the PF value is greater than 0.9.
